
Graphic Card-CMF Trend Research
Making a bold CMF proposal on the cutting edge for the next 1-3 year product planning. My role was guide CMF & ID members how to start it broadly but narrow down to specific key points.

The Research is one of my team’s 2020 OKR (Objectives and Key Results goal) project which discovers the next 1-3 year potential future for Graphic Card Business Unit. It helps Business Unit judge the direction, take a few steps in advance than other competitors, and even open the new market & reach new target audience. My role was to guide and motivate team members to achieve the OKR goal. I conducted the main process of research and collaborated with my CMF/ID members.

The most common categories between TA’s hashtags & our product brand image
At the discovery stage, I identified the possible design methods for this trend research. And one and the best of these was tracking several top keywords from IG hashtags trend from our future TA(teenager/young gamer). Then I and members brainstormed and used card sorting to help us concentrate on the intersection of hashtags & keywords. During the research process, I was surprised to see the variety of hashtag keywords from our TA.

For the color scheme analysis, we target several main themes and studied them deeply to understand context behind the scene.

To sum up, I think we did the good job: 2 of concepts from proposal were adopted in next year. When my boss first saw our proposal, he was really surprised and immediately asked marketing department to check the further cooperation. And now corporation is contacting related IP licensing to make it come true.
